I walked out on my back porch this morning enjoying the morning breeze, watching Petunia, our dog, running back and forth in the yard. Even she seems to feel the change in weather and know that Fall is finally here! So as I turn around to go inside , this is what greeted me at the door. EEK! --a rather large grasshopper!
The boys would have loved it, especially Austin - who lately, is enamored by bugs of any kind- but they were already in school. Sammy went through that phase also last year. So, my being the crazy woman that I am, decided to take a picture of it for them. Here it is! Lovely, eh?

The one weekend we were without Cooper we happened upon a lizard with 2 tails! His tail was broken and had grown back funny. Anyway I took a picture with my camera phone that was horrible. I hate that Cooper missed it. I guess we have to figure that they aren't going to be there for every single cool experience, but you hate it when they miss them.
