Look Mom! No Training Wheels!! :))

Those was the words I heard exclaimed as soon as I arrived home from the Preschool Conference on Wednesday. Sammy was so excited!! Yes, I realize he is 8, yes, I realize many children ride their bikes without training wheels by the time they are that old - I know I did! Wait! Did we even have training wheels back then? LOL! All I am saying, is for a child who, as a toddler had gross motor "issues", he definitely does not have those "issues"anymore. YAY!

Here is a video of his performance for me! This is his second day riding! You know I had to get this on video!! I am yelling "WOW!" at the end and the boys get a kick out of hearing me yell "WOW!" every time I play it! :)

Hint: {You may want to turn the volume down low because the video is totally silent until I yell WOW at the end! LOL!}

Prayer Phone Booth :)

While walking my mile yesterday morning, I saw this Prayer phone booth at the park. I like it, don't you? What a wonderful idea thought up by a young man in my neighboring city. This is one of many pieces of an art project displayed at a neighboring city park.

Halloween 2010

Last night was Halloween and we went to our wonderful friends The Scheiner's house and had a blast!!! This is a tradition we started about 3 years ago and all our kids get along so well. I remember the first time she invited us and we were so glad because we live in a neighborhood where there are alot of grumpy, retired folks and no one celebrates Halloween here. Lights all up and down our street stay "OFF" on Halloween night and have been that way for 10 years :(

Tackle it Tuesday :)

So as I prepare to pick up some daytime shifts in the next couple of weeks, I am trying to "tackle" a few big jobs before then. Yesterday, I finally went through the boys clothes in preparation to take some of them to the Foster Care Support Foundation.

I have two closets in our upstairs playroom to clean out, one gift closet downstairs to clean out, and the boys bedrooms need to have toys purged from them also. Here we go!!! Wish me luck!! If you don't hear from me soon, you can find me buried under toys, clothes, etc...LOL :)
